PCB and PBA manufacturing in EU
IPC (www.ipc.org - the global trade association for PCB and Electronic Assembly) and key stakeholders have been advocating with the European Commission DG GROW to reinforce resilience of the European electronics manufacturing supply chain. This has been done in the past for semiconductor technology, resulting in the chips act. This time the focus is on system level packaging, i.e. PCB and Electronic Assembly.
EC DG GROW has been very receptive of the ideas and sentiment in the electronics manufacturing industry during a workshop on 23 June.
EC have requested IPC to conduct a SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and treats).
